2.2.2012 Group two

Hi everyone today's plans for group 2 for today was to go to the gorge this morning then do some orienteering in the grounds.  However due to a bit of a frosty night we had to swap things around to allow the ice to thaw a little.  As you can see from the picture this didnt quite happen!! It added an extra challage though which everyone welcomed and we all enjoyed exploring the different ways ice formed on the river.  The big challenge came right at the end though, squeezing through a small tunnel.  Everyone got through, all be it a bit soggy(although Kate and Miss Vasey thankfully stayed dry).  All are currently enjoying the last nights disco with new friends.  Personal challenge with the Death Swing tomorrow!!! (If you listen carefully you might be able them sceaming/shouting/laughing from Sunderland!!)

Hi everyone well another great day, woke to a bit of ground frost and a frozen Derwnet Lake but that didnt stop us. Some of us headed off to the mines today which was very scary Mason conquered his fear and we all went through, good job for the hard helmets as it was very low and very very very dark. In the afternoon we went canoeing on the Lake which was fun some of it was still frozen, we played games having to jump into different canoes when our instructor shouted our number out, Mrs Tait then treated us all to a hot chocolate in the coffee shop.

Congratulations to Benedict Biscop Church of England Academy. Today's adventures brought us many new challenges and experiences. Check out our pictures they range from hiking up Catbells with Mrs Tait and learning bush survival skills (Bear Grylls watch out) to canoeing on lake Derwent and reaching new heights on the high rope challenge Charlie beat Miss Vasey up the Gladiator!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    Hope you all enjoy.
